💧and when the sun comes up, you'll find a brand new god💧a writing sideblog devoted entirely to the frighteningly cute!💧I follow through @your-exalted-grace, so please remember to check out the pinned post up at front for more info! Thanks!💧

💧hello!💧

hi! welcome to my writing sideblog!

some of you guys might also know me as @your-exalted-grace or @verdancea, but here i’m known as enlightened-shores! i mainly created this blog so i could have a separate place to post my writing tidbits!

here, you’ll be seeing a.) some of my writing in the form of a tumblr post or an AO3 link, b.) inspirational posts or memes that i’ve loved so much that i ended up reblogging, or c.) all of the above!

also, do keep in mind that this blog is not on a queueing system like on my main blog, so expect sporadic periods of inactivity here and there. i’m also more active on @your-exalted-grace, so feel free to reach out to me through there if you ever want to contact me! i follow through the main blog that way hehe.

and another thing — this blog, along with my main and aesthetics sideblog, are not child-friendly. please refrain from following any of these blogs if you happen to be under 18 years old. this is especially notable given the amount of potentially disturbing content i will be discussing for some of my stories. they will be tagged accordingly if you prefer to have them blacklisted.

other than that, i hope you have a lovely time looking through my blog!

cheers!

— enlightened-shores

anyway, here are the tags and I hope you have a fine and dandy time reading it!

Cheers! :”)c

💧Discussion Post | Regarding “shun the light"💧

"i would shun the light, share in evening’s cool and quiet,” or “shun the light” for short, is arguably the most read fanfic I’ve ever written for AO3 with 669 hits to match.

However — there were just a few things that made me feel like a lot more could’ve been done with “shun the light”, even after finishing the story back in January 10th of this year. I don’t hate the fic for what it currently is, as there were a ton of things that I loved about it and all that. I just felt like there was a lot more to be desired when it came to how “shun the light” was executed back when I was still writing it out.

For those who are interested on how I’d do things differently for a potential reboot, just strap on right in and let me tell you about all the things that I wanted to improve on just below the cut!

(Just keep in mind that while the Discussion Post focusing on this fic is sfw, the fic itself is a different story (as in not for children or the faint of heart) … >.>)

💧WIP Introduction | Tales of the Multiverse💧

Title: Tales of the Multiverse

Genre: It usually varies depending on the story, but most of the series would usually qualify as Adventure, Fantasy, and Fanfiction!

Tropes: Crossover, Found Family, Alternate Universe (AU)

Current Status: Brainstorming …

Tales of the Multiverse is a work-in-progress fanfiction project that compiles several stand-alone stories into one massive crossover series. Each story has its own unique cast of characters placed in peculiar situations where they struggle to make sense of how they managed to transport themself there. This is mainly me finding a way to have my favorite blorbos talk to each other or even befriend each other at one point hehe!

From this WIP, you’ll expect to see me talk about some information regarding the project’s development, worldbuilding, and thoughts along the way! I’ve been working on this project since 2021 and I’m looking forward to how I’ll be able to write it out some day!

Hopefully, I’ll be able to discuss more about the project as time goes on as I’m currently trying to plan out what direction I’m going to take the series. More information will be released sooner or later, so stay tuned for that!

And to keep up with the writing of Tales of the Multiverse, remember to check out this tag: #tales of the multiverse

Cheers!

Shatterpoint

AO3 Link

Summary: In Cybertron’s war-torn southern hemisphere, Elita One and her team prepare to defend the final Autobot outpost in Sector S-19 – if they can learn Shockwave’s plans before it’s too late.

In the ruins of an ancient city, Shockwave creates what will be the last weapon the Decepticons ever need – if he can control it before it turns on him.

And deep underground, an Autobot spy far out of her league makes contact with someone so old the planet has all but forgotten him…

Continuity: AU Transformers Bayverse (not including BB18)
Rating: M / R
Relationships: Greenlight/Lancer, Hound/Mirage, Chromia/Elita One
Characters: Elita One, Chromia, Firestar, Red Alert, First Aid, Prowl, Shockwave, Mirage, Riella (OC), Electron (OC)
Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence (canon-typical for Bayverse but treated as people damage and not robot damage), Major Character Death, Minor Character Death, Dubious Medical Ethics, Moral Dilemmas, Bittersweet Ending

Now complete, after eight years of work! I haven’t had time to crosspost it to Dreamwidth yet (that’s a project for later), but all thirty-one chapters are finally up on AO3, with a nice shiny new summary that reflects the fic a little better than the original and some updated tags.

Patti Smith, from Auguries of Innocence; “The setting and the stone”

The Signs and the Threshold:

Aries: The secret room. Hundreds of dusty cradles hang from the ceiling, rocking slowly by unseen force as the candlelight dances beneath them.

Taurus: The college town at sunset. The doors are shut tight, the streetlights are dimmed. Snow falls. The bell tools.

Gemini: The highest point on the bridge support. A tiny rivet ladder is the only way up here. You grasp the signal pole as the the wind swirls and churns curiously in your hair.

Cancer: An apple orchard on the cusp of spring. Specks of pink and green just starting to show. The field is fertilized with ash.

Leo: The empty hall after a convention. Paper strewn about the ground. Heat hangs in the air in weird splotches. The room feels crowded.

Virgo: A graveyard for ships. Rusted propellers turning in the calm surf.

Libra: Exactly two percent of your childhood home. The rest is blanketed in fog.

Scorpio: The tiny house that somehow managed to resist the explosion of metropolitan growth around it. Wood and clay are rare sights these days, and it seems that nature brims from every imperfection.

Ophiuchus: A small island off the coast of Australia. Cargo from wrecked ships seems to converge here.

Sagittarius: The hair product aisle. The small puddle of gore.

Capricorn: A busy intersection covered in advertising. An overturned semi truck blocks all four lanes. People watch from the sidelines, eating ice cream.

Aquarius: A cafe just before the first employee opens up fr the day. If they were less tired, they would notice the feeling of dread that vanishes as they step their foot in the door.

Pisces: The second sub basement of an old newspaper building. Theres a basketball half-court here.
